Bilt transfer bonus to Alaska for July Rent Day

Along with an exciting opportunity to earn Alaska MVP status, Bilt is also running a transfer bonus to Alaska Airlines this rent day on July 1.

You can earn up to 100% transfer bonus on up to 50,000 Bilt points, based on your Bilt Status as below:

  • Bilt Platinum members will earn 100% bonus
  • Bilt Gold members will earn 75% bonus
  • Bilt Silver members will earn 50% bonus
  • Bilt Blue members will earn 25% bonus
Do note the limit on the bonus this time around. The transfer is only good for up to 50,000 points transferred. Any transfers beyond that amount will not earn the bonus. This is the first time I have seen a limit on the transfer bonus.

This is the first transfer bonus since Bilt's March Rent day transfer bonus to Air Canada Aeroplan and first such transfer to a US domestic airline.

There are many great uses of Alaska points. Alaska runs regular promotions for one way award cost of 4,500 miles on many short routes. Seattle to New York can be found for 12,500 miles in economy and 25K in Business on many days, and Seattle to Hawaii can be found for 20K in economy. Alaska has exciting opportunities to travel on its partners as well but it has lately been diluting the value there but it is still worth checking for its older partners like Cathay Pacific and Japan Airlines.

The transfer starts July 1, 2024 12am ET and runs until July 2, 2:59 am ET. Bilt points can be transferred in increments of 1,000 points with the Bilt Blue members required to transfer a minimum of 2,000 points.

As discussed before on this blog,  IHG Ambassador is one of the few reward status that can be outright purchased for a fixed amount every year. The usual rate is $200 or 40,000 IHG points.
