Bank of America is offering 2% extra cashback on all of its branded credit cards, today only. The offer is for both points and cashback cards, so you can earn 2x extra miles on co-branded airlines credit cards as well.

There is a limit of $2500 spend per card. Some of the cards where you can earn extra cashback today are:

  • Unlimited Cash Rewards
  • Travel Rewards
  • Premium Rewards®

  • Virgin Atlantic
  • Alaska Airlines
  • Air France KLM
and their business counterparts.

You can take advantage of this promotion by prepaying some of your utility or business expenses. You can also prepay your taxes or buy gift cards if the fee is lower than the total rewards you will earn.

For example, with the Unlimited Cash Rewards, you can earn anywhere from 3.5% to 4.625% today depending on your status with Bank of America, so if the tax processor charges 1.87% or gift card sellers charges 2.4%, you will come out ahead.

I recently flew Air India Business class from Vancouver to Delhi. In this post I review how I booked it and the details of the flight. Bank of America ®  has added more cashback categories to its  Customized Cash Rewards credit card.  You can now earn 3% cash back on  EV charging stations, cable, streaming, internet & phone plan purchases  in addition to previous categories. The updated categories that can earn 3% cash back in are: • Gas &  EV Charging Stations • Online Shopping,  Cable, Streaming, Internet & Phone Plans • Dining • Travel • Drugstores & Pharmacies • Home Improvement & Furnishings Updated categories for Bank of America Custom Cash Card. As discussed before on this blog,  IHG Ambassador is one of the few reward status that can be outright purchased for a fixed amount every year. The usual rate is $200 or 40,000 IHG points.
