Chase is back with its bonus spending offers on co-branded credit cards. From April 1 through June 30 you can earn 5x or more on gas, groceries and restaurants with your Chase co-branded credit cards.  Because of gas and grocery store categories, it is easy to maximize this spend. Many gas stations (like 7-Eleven, even those without gas station attached), and grocery stores (like Safeway, Kroger's, Ralph's) sell gift cards, including Visa and Mastercard gift cards, which can later be used for other purchases. The gift cards usually come with a 1% fee or less, so a 5x return will easily beat the fee expense. I usually buy one $500 Visa gift card along with other groceries from Safeway. Not all Safeways will allow you to purchase a gift card with a credit card so your mileage may vary. I have also had luck buying Vanilla Visa gift cards from 7-Eleven depending upon the attendant.
